Where does the time go? Here at Liftoff, we’re in a bit of disbelief that we’re already halfway through the year!

With the first six months of 2018 solidly behind us, we’re taking stock and mapping out our marketing plan for the remainder of the year. And since we promised you a follow up to our Ultimate Guide to Mobile Marketing Events in 2018, we figured we would share some of our findings for the best events yet to come.

Tune Postback
Seattle | July 19 – 20
Postback is arguably the coolest event on this list featuring surprise musical acts such as Rufus du Sol, Odesza, and Girl Talk in past years. This year’s event features speakers from brands such as Microsoft, The Economist, Starz, and Bloomberg, amongst many others.

Shanghai | August 1 – 4
China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference (ChinaJoy for short) is the largest gaming and digital entertainment exhibition in China. It is a visual feast and spectacle that takes place in stunning Shanghai, drawing more than 250,000 attendees to nearly 100,000-square meters of exhibit space across 10 gigantic halls. If you plan on attending, make sure to swing by the Liftoff booth in Hall W at booth M396 and request an invite to our Eve on the Bund party taking place on the rooftop of the Hyatt hotel!

Cologne | August 21 – 25
Gamescom is Europe’s leading 360-degree event for the gaming industry. It’s the best-in-class show for the hottest games, and the central trade and media platform for connecting business development, sales, press, and community – all in one place. The first two days of this trade show are business-focused but the last two days are open to the general public as well.

Cologne | September 12 – 13
This German expo needs no introduction as it has developed into one of the most important trade shows for digital marketers in just a few short years. The Digital Marketing Expo & Conference (aka DMEXCO) gathers all relevant brands within the digital economy in Cologne for two days of information-sharing, networking, and some pretty epic parties.

Tokyo Game Show
Chiba | September
TGC is the longest running event on this list – the 2018 event will be their 22nd annual edition! While the main focus of the show is on Japanese games, some international video game developers use it to showcase upcoming releases as well. Like Germany’s Gamescom, Tokyo Game Show allows the general public to attend during the final two days.

Mobile Growth Canada
Montreal | September 20
After two very successful runs, Mobile Growth Canada is back and bigger than ever! This year’s one-day conference is free to attend for mobile app marketers and filled with insightful content from the best in the business. Liftoff will be hosting a special Canadian edition of our famous Mobile Marketing Showdown so make sure you register and don’t miss out!

TAP Conference
New York | October 4
Taking place during Advertising Week NYC, TAP is the place to be if you are interested in learning how to succeed in e-commerce. This will be the fourth annual edition of this conference put on by Button, a leading contextual commerce marketplace. At TAP, attendees spend the day learning how the best brands are capturing users’ delight, intent, and attention on mobile.

App Growth Summit SF
San Francisco | October 25
The recently formed App Growth Experts will be hosting their first San Francisco Summit in October. Mobile app experts and brand marketers will meet to exchange ideas and strategies in a setting which encourages interaction and active engagement. Presentations from industry leaders and expert-led discussion panels will highlight the day’s insightful content. It’s very likely that this will become the best mobile app marketing event to hit SF in a while!

Paris | November 14 – 15
Formerly known as AppDays, this conference recently changed its name to reflect their ambition to become the European mobile conference. MobileOne is designed for every mobile and digital industry professional – developer, marketer, product manager, or even the C-suite.

G-Star Korea
Busan | November 15 – 18
South Korea is now the fourth largest gaming market with annual revenues of over $4 billion USD, with $1.6 billion of that coming from mobile games. As a result, G-Star Global Game Exhibition has become one of the most important shows to attend for companies who want to partner with Korea’s most influential gaming companies. This is the show to attend if you want to understand the Korean game scene and industry landscape.
